In case we haven't met...

My name is Caeden King. I'm an artist, singer/songwriter, worship leader, aspiring photographer, and certified piano technician. I've always had a fascination with the intricacies of acoustic pianos and–maybe like you–have a fondness for the raw, pure, honest sound of the hammers against the strings.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist, maybe a little too nostalgic, and a lover of all things music. When it comes to pianos, longevity is the name of the game, and regular maintenance, including tuning, repairs, and regulation, is the key to extending the life and performance of a piano. Take a minute to explore my services, and know that any you choose will be performed with care and respect for your piano.

Services

Tuning

The more regularly a piano is tuned, the better it will hold a tune. Just by playing through a single piece of music, the piano can become slightly out of tune. In some college music schools, the pianos are tuned daily to combat this. For the average home piano, though, tuning twice a year is a good place to start.

Action Regulation

Over time, the action in your piano falls out of calibration due to changes in humidity and other factors. A professional regulation involves finely recalibrating the action of your piano. This will improve the feel and control of each key, restoring the playability and performance of the piano as a whole.

Tone Regulation

If your piano is starting to sound 'tinny', or there are deep grooves forming on the heads of the hammers, a tonal regulation should be considered. Regulating the tone of your piano involves reshaping the hammers–in addition to a regulation of the action–to round out the tone and restore the dynamic control of each note.
